You are not the same. Here the difference is technical.

Hypertension is the disease.

Hypertension is the effect.

Then there is the disease of hypertension and the effect is to measure the blood pressure.

Different words for the same thing. Although doctors say, "normal" blood pressure 120/80, it all depends on your weight. If a woman, whose normal weight of 95 pounds. is a much lower pressure than a man who was 200 pounds, weighs 6'3 "tall have. Of course, you have a fast swing that around 90 people, instead of 65.
If a doctor says you have high blood pressure, have a different opinion. The drugs are prescribed for hypertension), serious adverse events (including hypertension. Also check that Wal-Mart or wherever you can easily be checked. (The most common cause of blood pressure occurs as the "mouth of the white coat" ... by the visit of the doctor!)

Primary, secondary, or "essential" hypertension are all equal. You really do not exist, but aberational built in the spirit of the medical profession.

However, it is possible that some diseases occur, in which the natural response of the brain dysfunction of an organ (s) (understandably) to increase the mean arterial pressure. This means (in general) also increased both pulse pressure and systolic blood pressure.

Very bad, and total ignorance, doctors diagnosed it as "blood pressure or hypertension.
It is not. It is a symptom, and in many cases, the patient died in the hands of the administration of the wrong medication.

The difference is the origin of words. Crank + plaintext, the blood pressure.
